20 Weeks

This is what he looks like right now.  I had my 20 week ultrasound this past week.  Everything looked good.  They are still pushing the amnio.  Not sure why at this point other than my age.  Silly doctors.  Maybe next time I'll wear a sign that says "If you say the word 'amnio', I get to kick you in the privates".  You know I'd never do that, but I'd LIKE to.  The doctor that reviewed the ultrasound said "Everything looks good.  It's the best we can know without the amnio".  Thanks buddy.  (P.S. I have nothing against amnio's.  I just don't feel that it's for me, the baby and our situation...).

I'm glad to see the baby resembles the above.  If it looked like my cravings he'd look like this:

Dear red velvet cupcakes.  Please stop calling to me.

So we are plugging along.

The boys start spring break at the end of Holy Week.  Having them home for a week will be fun (and patience testing).  We aren't going anywhere for spring break.  I think we may be the only ones in the school that aren't.  I'm looking forward to enjoying some quiet time where we don't have to run from activity to activity.  I plan on putting the boys to work around here.  I'm sure THAT will go well (she says in a snarky sarcastic tone).

I can't believe tomorrow is April.  Time is just flying by.  Hope you don't get fooled on April Fools Day :)

Glad to hear things look good on the ultrasound!

I had amnio with Bella - I am a carrier for Cystic Fibrosis so I wanted to know if she had it, just to know what to expect. Worst two weeks of my life waiting for results!

If I had to do it all over again I probably wouldn't. It wouldn't have changed anything :)

Cute baby! It is amazing how they've moved on from Atari like pixelation in the past to XBox 360 detail. Lovely!

I'll kick 'em in the privates, if you'd like. You know that I don't live that far. Then, you wouldn't be the crazy lady in the office and they would still be obligated to deliver Baby "Our Story". Just blame it on your weirdo cousin. They'd think nothing of it, I'm sure. ;)

Ooo! We're on spring break right after Easter, too! Guess what? We aren't going anywhere (other than to work) and we know many who are going to Disney, NYC . . . We're fine with hanging and waiting for the weather to turn warmer so that we can break out the tent, commune with nature and skip all of the crazy people who drive me batty. (I know that you love Disney and that is wonderful, but I don't think that my crowd-phobic self could deal with it. K- is the same way as me.) Give me dirt and an open fire. I'm good with that!

Half way there, mama! He's a cutie!

And I remember having to sign all kinds of papers saying that I was sure I wanted to waive prenatal testing and if I had a sick baby it was not their fault, etc. I understand the need for some prenatal testing, but I think obstetrics is so litigious these days they want to do the tests more for a CYA reason than anything else.
